Consideration for the environment is not just a contemporary fad but a growing belief that all of us as individuals are collectively responsible for the planet upon which we have the great fortune to inhabit.        

At Let-Me, we are not so much concerned with the doom-saying anxiety causing warnings about the state of the world – we believe in positive pro-active deeds.  What worth do words if not backed up by action?

All of our landlords are now obliged by law to get an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) and from this we actively liaise with property owners to make their properties as energy efficient as is possible.  Using energy is what people do but cooperating to reduce the amount of energy used is something that we at Let-Me have the will to involve ourselves in.          

Consuming energy is a fact of life but our concern is that once we have reduced that consumption to a minimum then we can go even further.  The Earth is of one thing – a fully integrated biosphere every part of which helps maintain all others (which happens to be the inspiration for our business model) and a thing used and not replaced reduces the overall effectiveness of the eco system.  To this end we have enrolled in a scheme in which for every £1 of profit that we make we pay to have a tree planted.  We are not committed to single handedly saving the world but we are whole heartedly committed to unilaterally doing our full fair share to off set unavoidable energy consumption.  

We have also instigated a program of sponsoring green houses for schools with one specific aim in mind.  Children that interact with nature form a connection to it and become attuned to positive and negative patterns of behavior.  Doing the right and natural thing is something that should be ingrained as young as is possible and when children see how delicate life can be they become self motivated to be more considerate and caring about not only there immediate environment but also the wider implications of being a responsible consumer and citizen.
